Jaringan Pekerja Kontrak Kerajaan (JPKK) manyambut baik keputusan Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM) untuk menarik semula polisi pembayaran kepada kontraktor berdasarkan kehadiran pekerja. Kontraktor Kebersihan Bangunan dan Kawasan (KBK) akan dibayar penuh berdasarkan kontrak. Berikutan itu, kami harap tidak timbul lagi isu kontraktor terpaksa potong gaji pekerja KBK, termasuk ‘cleaner’ sekolah.

Kami juga ingin mengucapkan setinggi penghargaan dan tahniah kepada wakil-wakil pekerja KBK yang berani bersuara membantah arahan asal KPM. Kami berterima kasih kepada semua pihak yang prihatin kepada isu ini dan yang telah mendesak KPM sehingga ada perubahan. Kuasa rakyat sekali lagi terbukti adalah pendorong utama kemenangan pekerja pembersihan menuntut semula hak gaji minima mereka.
